La Favorita Taqueria: Authentic Mexican Flavors in Elk Grove

The food is very good. They have a terrific salsa bar and they have great lunch specials as well as happy hour specials.

Wanted some Mexican food and found this place. Parking is a bit confusing but they do have parking in the back. Just follow the arrows. We thought it was for drive thru but it’s not lol. I ordered pozole and my boyfriend got a carne asada burrito. The pozole was flavorful and everything I was craving for. They gave me plenty of topping and tostadas with it. I’ve been looking for a place with pozole and have found my new go to. My boyfriend wasn’t a fan of the burrito as it completely fell apart and that was a bit disappointing. The decor was like most Mexican restaurants and it was blasting Mexican music so that was cool. The service could’ve been a bit better as they were on their phone for a while before I had ordered. They also let you get agua frescas when you order a regular drink. Most places up-charge for that but this one did not so I loved that. There was also a wide variety of sauces from salsa, guacamole and hot sauces. I enjoyed each and every one of those. Looking forward to coming here regularly for pozole. (Same review by me on Yelp)

Great place for delicious food. We've never had a bad meal. I finally found a torta as good as the ones I used to get in baja when I was a kid.

This is our go-to taqueria. We drive from the other side of town. Love their pastor tacos. Portions are great and we always get nice service too. They have a few basic lunch specials if you want to save A few $$. Only negative is it is very noisy when busy so we try to go during down time.

The food here was fantastic! I wish I could give it 4.5 stars. I can't give it the full 5 , because I just gave their location in South Sacramento 5 stars, and this one is in an awkward to access spot on a crazy busy street, and is in a somewhat cramped building that doesn't allow for the really nice atmosphere and accommodations the South Sacramento restaurant offers. I'll definitely be back for the delicious pork pastor again and again.

This was my first time visiting. I didn’t expect much other than the typical Mexican restaurant. But I was pleasantly surprised at the taste and quality of food. We ordered a few different items but the taco salad is something I would recommend. It had actual veggies on it. Everything was perfectly layered. I have never had a taco salad like this anywhere else. We all enjoyed our food. Which by the way came out very quickly for a lunch time meal. Then of course we had to order churros. They brought them out at the end of our meal for us and they were nice and hot and delicious of course! I will be going back! Soooo yummy!!

Classic mexican dishes, served freshly made. They serve generous portion & reasonable prices. Service is quick & the staff are courteous & friendly.

Great food! I absolutely LOVED my nachos. They were loaded with cheese and absolutely delicious. The salsa bar has a lot of options. The staff was friendly. The service was fast. The restrooms were clean, so was the parking lot.
